Elizabeth Allyn Woock

Palacký University Olomouc


Elizabeth Allyn Woock is an assistant professor at the Department of English and American Studies at Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. Her current research centers on the visualization and ideation of history in comics. Her other projects include further exploration into the ins and outs of creating research comics and academic comics, and the application of comics-based research and arts-based research in the social sciences. She is particularly interested in composing comics as a research practice. She currently serves as an assistant editor at the Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics , as the International Liaison for the International Society for the Study of Medievalism, and as a member of her faculty’s Research Ethics Committee.
