Paolo Simonetti

Sapienza University of Rome


Paolo Simonetti teaches Anglo-American literature at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). His research areas include the works of Herman Melville, Thomas Pynchon, Bernard Malamud, and Philip Roth; the reconfiguration of historical narratives in modernist, postmodernist, and contemporary U.S. fiction; the language of comics and its formal connection with non-graphic literature. He is the author of a book on conspiracy and paranoia in the works of Pynchon, Don DeLillo, and Paul Auster ( Paranoia blues , Aracne 2009), and has published a number of essays that appeared in books and international journals such as Modern Language Studies , Critique , and Leviathan. He has recently edited the complete works of Bernard Malamud and the selected works of Philip Roth in Italian for the series “I Meridiani” Mondadori.
